![]() This is the first item in my new blog so how can I be back I hear you ask. Well when I say back, I mean back in Poole, back home after the most relaxing week in my favourite place, the Lake District. Isn't it funny, no matter where you are, no matter how beautiful the place you live in, you always want to be somewhere else. Poole is a beautiful place but to be honest we are not really "sea" people. Our hearts are in the mountains so as we head north up the M6 and the mountains start to come into view, we start to feel at home. Life's events don't always mean we can live in the place we dream of but as I wander along Poole Quay as the sun is setting, the boats are bobbing around in the harbour I think - could be worse, a lot worse. Even when I am away from home relaxing and doing just a little retail therapy, my head is still full thoughts of embroidery, knitting, painting and sometimes work, although I try to resist that as much as possible. I am a sucker for a craft book and on this trip it was a Patchwork and Quilting book. Although I embroider panels for people to include in their own project I have never actually made a quilt. It is so lovely when a customer sends me a photo of a finished quilt that includes the panels I have sewn to make their project something personal and special to them. Well I have read my new book cover to cover so the next time I am sitting here with absolutely nothing on my "to do" list............. I hope you have enjoyed my first attempt at sharing my thoughts with you and that you will come back and catch up with me again.
